NEW YORK, NY - Today the Donald J. Trump for President campaign added Michigan and New Mexico to its aggressive battleground state media buy in an open acknowledgment that the campaign is surging in traditionally blue states as well as traditional battleground states. This expansion occurs as Florida and Ohio are decisively turning towards Mr. Trump, and the campaign is seeing strong growth in North Carolina as well. The Trump campaign’s ad placement strategy is being backed by a $25 million buy for the final seven days of the campaign in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, New...

Young people and independents are helping Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump remain competitive with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in New Mexico, a new poll finds. Clinton led Trump five 5 percentage points, 45-40, heading into the final stretch of the campaign, according to the survey, which was conducted Monday. Support for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, New Mexico’s former governor, dropped in the new poll to 9 percent. The statewide survey of 1,899 likely voters was conducted by ZiaPoll. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.25 percent.

Few people today regard the American vice presidency the way John Nance Garner did when he described the job as one that “isn’t worth a pitcher of warm spit,” probably a softened version of his actual words. Yet modern-day politicians would rather talk about arcane parts of the tax code than publicly acknowledge speculation that they’re being mentioned as vice presidential timber. U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich, a Democrat from Albuquerque, is one of them. Heinrich, who endorsed Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton back in 2014, is among a couple of dozen names that often surface when political writers and commentators discuss...

First Lady Michelle Obama came to listen to the 2016 graduating class of the Santa Fe Indian School. And then she spoke from her heart.(snip) Mrs. Obama was welcomed to the podium as “the mother of our nation,” and she addressed the graduates as a mother might speak to her children, saying over and over how proud she was of them, as they beamed that pride back at her. While she adhered pretty rigorously to her prepared remarks, sometimes she deviated from the script. “I wish I could spend a whole week with you,” she declared. “I love you all...

Complete Headline: The Daily 202: Trump’s attacks on the GOP’s most prominent Latina, Susana Martinez, should alarm Republicans During a 65-minute speech in Albuquerque last night, Donald Trump laced into New Mexico Republican Gov. Susana Martinez. He blamed her for the state’s economic problems, for the growing number of food stamp recipients and for not doing more to reject Syrian refugees. The billionaire even mused about moving to the state to run for governor himself. [Snip] [Trump's] language was quite gendered. Trump called Hillary a "low-life" and then went on to imitate the way she talks, raising his voice to...

And wait until you see how the left wing media portrayed what happened. Donald Trump held a rally in New Mexico yesterday. Protesters were on hand but simple protest was not enough. Exercising their rights was not enough. They decided they were going to suppress the rights of Trump and of those who attended the rally. They lit fires and threw rocks and bottles at police, some of whom were injured. They assaulted a wheelchair-bound Trump supporter while chanting "Stop the hate!" (video at the link) https://youtu.be/-qhyJQvHiosThere was violence both inside and outside the rally. As far away as Pakistan it was reported...

Donald Trump does not provide any quarter to fools or usurpers. When Trump says “America First”, he actually means “America First”. As such, while Trump campaigned in New Mexico last night he took direct aim at another GOPe official, Susana Martinez:

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Outside, protesters were overrunning barricades - and at least one entrance to the event space had its windows smashed. Inside, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump was telling protesters to "go home to mommy." It was quite the return to the campaign trail for the businessman and if there was any lingering hope for Republicans that there is a Trump 2.0 coming, once again, Trump dashed that notion. Instead, it was a return to form for a man who has made significant strides in polls against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. Trump held court in Albuquerque, New Mexico for...

I did see that police car with the windshield smashed. I’ve heard about other incidents of violence — low-key violence so far.”
