(METUCHEN, OCTOBER 19) – Today, U.S. Senate candidate Doug Forrester challenged Frank Lautenberg to debate him at the Metuchen Street Fair. Doug brought two podiums to the street fair and confronted Mr. Lautenberg to live up to his promise to debate “any place, any time.” Two weeks ago, at the Old Bridge Fair, Frank Lautenberg agreed to debate Doug “any place, any time.” Since then, Mr. Lautenberg has ducked every opportunity to debate Doug. The Press of Atlantic City called Mr. Lautenberg’s promise “pure bluster.” The Bergen Record said “Frank Lautenberg has a lot of nerve” for refusing to debate....
