Get ready for a spectacular light show tonight as geomagnetic storms bring the northern lights closer to unexpected locations. The northern lights, or aurora borealis, are expected to put on a stunning display across several U.S. states tonight, thanks to geomagnetic storms that are disrupting Earth’s magnetic field. These solar-driven storms, forecasted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), will bring the auroras closer to areas typically outside their usual range. This rare opportunity offers a chance for skywatchers in unexpected locations to witness one of nature’s most mesmerizing phenomena. Where Will the Northern Lights Be Visible? According to...

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump has a growing lead among likely primary voters in New Hampshire, and both he and Marco Rubio have gained ground in the state since September, according to a new CNN/WMUR poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. Overall, 32% say they support Trump (up 6 points since September), with Rubio a distant second place with 14% (up 5 points). That 18-point lead is almost double the 10-point lead Trump held in September over businesswoman Carly Fiorina.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who campaigned in New Hampshire for John McCain during the 2008 presidential primary, said Saturday he would offer voters here the same kind of blunt talk and authenticity if he runs for president. That decision won't come until early next year, though Pawlenty has been laying the groundwork, taking several trips to Iowa and New Hampshire in the last year and setting up fundraising operations for local candidates in both key states. In a brief speech to Republicans at a picnic Saturday, Pawlenty stuck to broad themes of fiscal discipline and tough foreign policy, but in...

One of the first states to attempt to tally the "new jobs" that Obama's stimulus created has issued its first report and the news is rather discreditable to say the least. New Hampshire's Director of the Economic Stimulus, Bud Fitch, recently put out his report and he is asserting that the stimulus "saved" or created 796 jobs in all of the state. Naturally 700 of those jobs were government jobs. New Hampshire Public Radio interviewed economist Brian Gottlob who warned that the supposed 700 jobs saved, nearly all were in education, were probably not jobs on the chopping block in...

Kelly Ayotte, New Hampshire’s GOP rising star, is a folksy, gun-loving mother of two who has her eyes on a Senate seat. And, you betcha, she married a dude who puts Todd to shame.
