Pawlenty lays out case to N.H. voters

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who campaigned in New Hampshire for John McCain during the 2008 presidential primary, said Saturday he would offer voters here the same kind of blunt talk and authenticity if he runs for president.

That decision won't come until early next year, though Pawlenty has been laying the groundwork, taking several trips to Iowa and New Hampshire in the last year and setting up fundraising operations for local candidates in both key states. In a brief speech to Republicans at a picnic Saturday, Pawlenty stuck to broad themes of fiscal discipline and tough foreign policy, but in an interview later, he described what he sees as his appeal to New Hampshire voters.

Sure sounds like he is gonna run. I appreciate that he is going to speak bluntly and I suggest we ignore any pubbie presidential aspirant who does not speak bluntly about (1) the incompetence of the Obama administration, (2) the thug tactics of the Obama administration, and (3)the horrible consequences of the Obama administration.

He’s been a good Gov for us and I believe, is an ideal VP candidate. I still don’t know who will be a good GOP POTUS candidate...

He’d better not waste his time. I haven’t forgotten how he let Franken steamroll Coleman in those endless recounts, with boxes of ballots being found DAYS later, with no chain of custody, then included in the count.

Death (politically speaking, of course) to RINOs.

May Tim find his political life unbearable in the coming months!

Anyone who shows up hat in hand applying for the job of Leader and Fighter can just turn himself around and head back home.

If you are a leader and a fighter you’re already in the fight and you won’t have to make your case for yourself because you’re too busy making your case against a fascist-mafia takeover of the government. There aren’t many out there making their bones taking on the government in any really public way. The ones who are, thats your short list. The ones who want to be appointed leader, are late to the party.

I will admit having not seen him much on TV but from what I saw he was wimpy and not forceful enough. Maybe nice works in Minnesota. But 0bama will chew him up.

Tim has the same charisma and sleepy-looking eyes as Mark Sanford in my opinion.

I saw let him run. He is eligible and will see if he can do it. I doubt he will end up being the nominee but it is his right to run. Sometimes FREEPERS feel that candidates should not run because they are not conservative enough but that is the decision of the candidate and not us that is for sure. That is why I could care less if the Huckster runs cuz he will not get the nomination and if he does he will lose to Obama for sure which is why I hope he does not get the nom.
