Robert Harward turned down President Donald Trump’s offer to be national security adviser over concerns that political advisers would interfere with security affairs, Politico reports.</p> <p>Trump reportedly offered Harward the position Monday night after former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn resigned in disgrace. Harward told Trump he would need a few days to consider the offer, but was still widely expected to accept the position.</p>
