The Surge Is Working - Huckabee's Too (Chuck Norris On MSM Confounded Alert)
Worldnetdaily.com ^ | 10/29/2007 | Chuck Norris

The Huckabee surge is swelling. And why? Because, despite most of the media favoritism in air time and attention of more liberal candidates, Americans are privy to the ploys of preferred political posturing – not allowing their own oversight of the second tier of candidates. America is catching on to the reality that Mike is a well-rounded, real American patriot, who understands the plight of average citizens and has the experience and vision to lead America into the future.

Speaking of surges, one of the questions that arises when I speak about Huckabee is, "Why does Mike take a tough and (with many) unpopular stand on staying the course with the Iraqi war?"

The first reason is Mike understands the real threat of terrorism. Sept. 11 wasn't just a bad dream – it was a nightmare reality. (We both think too many Americans have forgotten that.) Islamofascism is still a very real threat. And our war with it will not end in a draw. Extremists don't negotiate. They only want to annihilate. We will fight them overseas, or we will fight them on our streets.

Its really an amazing time. The Surge is working in Iraq and a dark horse GOP candidate is challenging the conventional wisdom and both events are confounding the MSM. Good follow up today on Mike Huckabee from Chuck Norris, who has endorsed his presidential bid.

Chuck Norris is either stupid, which I doubt, or he is compromised.

Huckabee, who supports guest worker programs and is not an immigration hard-liner, said he believes opposition to comprehensive immigration reform is 'irrational in many cases.' And he did not discount the causative factor of racism.

"If I were to say that some of it is driven by just sheer racism, I think I would be telling you the truth. I've had conversations with people that and it became very evident that what they really didn't like was that people didn't look like them, didn't talk like them, didn't celebrate ht holidays like they do, and they just had a problem with it. Now, that is not to say that everyone who is really fired out about immigration is racist. They're not."

We have confirmed that of our Mexican border crossers were 1100 folks from communist China and a few folks from North Korea and Iran. If this is understanding a real threat from extremists, then Chuck Norris needs to stay in front of a TV camera with a script and stop opening his mouth independently.

Never vote for a self-righteous ex-anything(Huckabee) or overzealous ex-prosecutor(Rudy). They are not stable emotionally and could not react rationally in a crisis situation.

I think it's the Values Voter crowd. Chucklebee has hired 260 bloggers to blog for him according to some sources, trying to copy Ron Paul's internet campaign. It may even work. His problem is that the TV preachers and those circling around WND, Eagle Forum, and the Dobson crowd aren't big on donating to political campaigns. To really generate serious money for him, they would have to promote him at the expense of their own trinket and book sales. I just don't think they like him quite that much. I know I've said I'll support any GOP nominee except for the leftwing mayor. But Huckabee? Wow, is that unappealing. I think I even like McCain better.

Huck's nannystating and tax policy and envirowackoism and illegals-coddling puts him just about dead last with me. Duncan and Tanc are so much better, across the board, if you're looking for a conservative candidate that isn't "first-tier". But Huck has the advantage of having been a governor even if only from a basket-case state.

Just think, if it was Hillary vs Huckabee, we would see that decorated state house in Little Rock in either case like we did when Bill got elected. I guess they would just have to switch off which one got elected.

Ah yes, the future home of any splinter group that would protest a candidate who was weak on those issues that appeal to the Values Voter...a Huckabee platform of preacher-like rhetoric with a fiscally populist, tax friendly message. No thanks, Chuck, but perhaps you’d find a better sale amongst your non-atheist Hollywood friends, if you can find any.

Chuck and his wife Geena, are evangelical Christians. They are typical of the Values Voter.

Chuck Norris is either stupid, which I doubt, or he is compromised.

Not everyone sees immigration as the issue to judge a candidate, nor do all conservatives share your views on the solution. Chuck is a devote Christian and Huckabee represents strong Christian values. It makes perfect sense that Chuck supports him. Huckabee is a well spoken man with strong Christian values.

Yeah, there are a bunch of them here on this forum.

They're trolling the other candidate forums too. So far, mostly Fred Thompson and Ron Paul sites and blogs.

They're trying to tamp down the other candidates and grab up some of them for Huckster.

Have you seen Huck's website? It's got a blogroll from hell. Not even Ron Paul has such a list of bloggers who appeared so suddenly.

He's using what little money he's raised to pay bloggers to try to copy RP's online success.

Which is typical of conservatism? Or perhaps a potential splinter group if it, as a group, don’t get their ideal Huckabee candidate?
