UPDATE 7/28/`6 @ 11:51 p.m. WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP/WSAZ) -- It's been more than a month since the tragic floods devastated parts of West Virginia. Funeral arrangements have been made for a 14-year-old West Virginia girl missing and presumed dead in last month's devastating floods. The obituary for Mykala Cheyanne Phillips says the service will take place Sunday afternoon at Bethesda Church in White Sulphur Springs. Philips is one of the 15 people who died in Greenbrier county. Overall, 23 people died statewide in the floods.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — The only thing holding the family together was a few extension cords. Jason Phillips, 15, tied himself to his father and then to his younger brother and sister using whatever random cords he could find in their home on Mill Hill Drive. By this point, they knew they were going into the flood water raging just outside the door, the water that would go on to knock their home off its foundation. But the water was too strong.
