DES MOINES, IA - A prisoner serving a 50-year sentence for second-degree murder was being sought Sunday after he failed to return from work-release. Officials with the Iowa Department of Corrections said Sam Henry Archer, 30, failed to return from a job late Saturday. He was placed on escape status just after 3 a.m. Sunday, officials said.
