Pride, patriotism and service are literally at the heart of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania . A towering obelisk, topped with a statue of a World War I doughboy, looms over the traffic diamond at the heart of Main Street. Off to the right, a fountain bubbles in the midst of a spotless park featuring a Victorian-style gazebo and a gleaming black granite wall, bearing the names of about 2,000 borough residents who have served in the U.S. military. All week volunteers have been rolling up their sleeves and gutting a church that has been a place of comfort for generations. Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkview, WV and their school Elk Valley Christian were filled with mud and water. Lee Swor has been the pastor for 30 years. He said the outpouring of help has been an inspiration.

Tractor and Steam Engines- There are literally rows of vintage tractors and the mighty steam engines of the past. Every day when the noon whistle blows, there is a parade of tractors and steam engines in front of the grandstand. Work horses -- You can find some of the greatest work horses in the country at the Old Threshers Reunion. Watch them work at designated times during the day.
