Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church works to recover from flood

All week volunteers have been rolling up their sleeves and gutting a church that has been a place of comfort for generations.
Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkview, WV and their school Elk Valley Christian were filled with mud and water.
Lee Swor has been the pastor for 30 years. He said the outpouring of help has been an inspiration.

While scanning pictures today of the flood I saw a lot of churches that were destroyed or damaged by the flood. It is so sad. Please FReepers send your prayers out to all of them. I took this picture the day after. This church had 5 feet of water inside it. The day the this picture was taken the water had gone down, it was much worse.
