LOUIS) - Law enforcement in the Ferguson area are preparing for potential protests and riots following the grand jury’s decision in the Michael Brown investigation, which is expected sometime this month. Talking to “St. Louis Coptalk” forum, a supposed police officer in the Ferguson area issued a warning to others in the community to “protect” their families with firearms. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An 18-year-old man was killed Tuesday night in a shooting at a convenience store at 26th Street and Van Brunt Boulevard, police said. The shooting happened at a 7-Eleven at about 10:30 p.m. Police said a man was robbing the store at gunpoint when one of the two clerks pulled out his own gun and shot him in the neck. Officers found Vincent Williams, of Kansas City, dead behind the counter of the store. They said the clerk is a concealed weapons permit holder.

An intended rape victim shot and killed her attacker this morning in Cape Girardeau when he broke into her home to rape her a second time, police said. The 57-year-old woman shot Ronnie W. Preyer, 47, a registered sex offender, in the chest with a shotgun when he broke through her locked basement door. The woman told police he was the same man who raped her several days earlier.
