MK Anastasia Michaeli (Yisrael Beiteinu) faced heated words and intimidation on Wednesday as she made her way to a rally organized by American talk show host Glenn Beck. A handful of extreme-left counter-protesters surrounded the MK and insulted her; the situation deteriorated to the point where police were forced to intervene. Michaeli later said, “I respect democracy and pluralism. The few extremist demonstrators and their crude insults against those who came to show support will not deter us.”
