Members of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) may be allowed to run private business, according to a draft political report to be submitted to the party's national congress slated for April. "Party members, who engage in running private business without scale restrictions, must typically obey the Party Stature, laws, policies of the state and specific regulations of the CPV Central Committee," says the draft report publicized on major local newspapers Friday. [. . .] The private economic sector contributes some 60 percent of Vietnam's gross domestic product, the agency said.
