More than a dozen military weapons are missing after an overnight break-in at a Massachusetts army reserve center, officials said. The Worcester armory's missing weapons include six M4 assault rifles, 10 pistols, and several long guns, a law enforcement source told the Daily Beast. FBI agents were looking into the gun heist, said Hank Shaw, a special agent in charge of the FBI's Boston division. Shaw said the break-in is not being considered as a terrorist threat.

TRIPOLI, Libya — Some weapons depots in Libya have still not been secured properly, and “much has already gone missing” from unguarded sites, the top U.N. envoy in Libya said in an interview Sunday. Preventing more weapons from being smuggled out of country will be difficult, considering the nature of the vast desert nation’s borders, the envoy, Ian Martin, told The Associated Press. 0 Comments Weigh InCorrections? inShare. Two separate investigations are underway Monday after multiple submachine guns and pistols used for SWAT training by the LAPD were found missing. KNX 1070′s Pete Demetriou reports the weapons were stolen from a building owned and used specifically for training by the LAPD. The 21 MP-5 submachine guns and a dozen Colt 45 automatic pistols were taken from a locked container inside the Kennedy Building on San Pedro Street, police officials said. The location — which formerly housed clothing firms before it was donated to the LAPD several years ago — is considered a secure site, Deputy Chief Michael Downing...

During fiscal years 2002 through 2008, the United States spent approximately $16.5 billion to train and equip the Afghan army and police forces in order to transfer responsibility for the security of Afghanistan from the international community to the Afghan government, according to a report obtained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police’s Firearms Committee. The Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan (CSTC-A) in Kabul, which is a joint service, coalition organization under the command and control of Defense’s U.S. Central Command is primarily responsible for training and equipping ANSF. As part of that responsibility, CSTC-A receives and stores weapons provided...

Wait a minute -- so there were WMDs in Iraq? The Kerry campaign, the media, assorted pundits, and others are making much of the disappearance of the 380 tons of explosives from the al Qaqaa storage facility south of Baghdad. According to the IAEA, the U.N. watchdog agency now apparently in the service of the Democratic National Committee, some of the explosives could be used to detonate nuclear weapons. Wow — nuclear-weapon components were in Iraq? Shouldn't the headline be, "Saddam Had 'Em?"

EDITORIAL: The missing weapons Kerry's New York Times 527 committee. Voters are routinely warned to beware the "October surprise" -- some supposed political outrage or scandal revealed only a few days before the November elections, in hopes of starting a panic. On Monday, The New York Times reported the Iraqi interim government has warned the United States and international nuclear inspectors that nearly 380 tons of conventional explosives are now missing from one of Iraq's former military installations, at Al-Qaqaa. Grasping eagerly at the story, Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry -- before the Times had even hit the city's streets...

Anybody else getting the feeling that NBC is the Clinton wing of the media? They broke protocol on backing Kerry and tore down the Time's story on the missing weapons. Katie went after Kerry pretty hard in her interview. Matthews had an orgasm when he saw Bill in PA. To me, they seem to have an almost subtle anti-Kerry bent this last week. Could they be trying to crash Kerry's campaign for the Clintons or even at the behest of the Clintons? If they pick up the story on the Hanoi documents proving Kerry was doing the bidding of the...
