President Trump blasted Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman as a “deranged bum” after the ex-New York Times columnist was critical of his administration’s tariff regime.
“Paul Krugman of the New York Times has been predicting Doom and Gloom ever since my great election success in 2016,” Trump raged in a Truth Social post late Sunday.
“In other words, he has been wrong for YEARS, as ALL markets have been hitting new HIGHS, and are now higher than ever before.”
“People stayed out of the ‘BEST MARKET IN HISTOY’ [sic] because of this Trump Deranged BUM. Sue them!” he added.

That simpleton has been dining out on that I’ll-advised Nobel prize for a long long time
very kind description of the klutz
Krugman is a great comedy writer. I always laugh at his articles.
Nobel Prize is only for Marxists.
Trump has a point. Its an old joke that it is obvious when Krugman goes off his meds. Also about that Nobel prize while he was at Princeton, clandestine interviews with his then graduate students might be very interesting.
Just ask Obeyme.
“The only economist the doesn’t believe in markets”
Krugman has often been said to have predicted 25 of the last five recessions
He should have said; look up what pea brain had to say about what I’d do to the US economy prior to my 1st term as President of the United States of America!
That comment shows what a kind gentleman President Trump is
He could have told the truth about Krugman.
The ferret-faced Paul Krugman, as Rush used to say
Krugman also is a former Enron advisor
Krugman should be ashamed to show his face in public ... and his economic advice is pretty embarrassing too.
Krugman’s views on what is good or bad policy or good or bad economics differ with which party is in power. Even if they are the same situation.
Theoretical physics and economics have to be the easiest Nobel prizes to win. Just say anything, attach some complex-looking mathematical formulae to it, and—voila! The emperor’s new thesis. The more incomprehensible, the more the eggheads pretend to understand it, the more they praise.
LOL 🤣🤣🤣😆
"Here it is warm, and the days are longer, and the phone doesn’t ring much...“We first fell in love with St. John,” Krugman says. “It was New York lawyers who’d decided to give up on the whole thing and live on a houseboat and wear their gray ponytails.”
The east end of St. Croix is something of a tourist spot...men with beards and very tanned middle-aged women sitting and smoking in the afternoon.
“The west end is where the whites who’ve gone native live,” Wells says.
Here Krugman wears the same shirt for days, a short-sleeved plaid cotton shirt, and bathing trunks. He sits in the room where they eat their breakfast, which has a long window open to the sea.
First thing when he wakes up... he and Wells will go for a walk on the beach, or they will stroll into Frederiksted and have breakfast at Polly’s, a little coffee shop that serves iced lattes and pretty good egg burritos.
When he has a draft, he gives it to Wells to edit. Early on, she edited a lot—she had, they felt, a better sense than he did of how to communicate economics to the layperson...But he’s much better at that now, and these days she focusses on making him less dry, less abstract, angrier [ ed. note: Sounds desperately familiar ].
Recently, he gave her a draft of an article he’d done for Rolling Stone. He had written, “As Obama tries to deal with the crisis, he will get no help from Republican leaders,” and after this she inserted the sentence “Worse yet, he’ll get obstruction and lies.” Here and there, she suggested things for him to add. “This would be a good place to flesh out the vehement objections from the G.O.P. and bankers to nationalization,” she wrote on page 9. “Show us all their huffing and puffing before you dismiss it as nonsense in the following graf.”"
F both of them into Caribboblivion...
Krugman and Rand Paul should team up — two monumental losers.
