Her mother has since been indicted on multiple counts of welfare fraud but is free on supervised release. Kilgore's petition says Lunsford is unwilling to...

Barack Obama’s supporters praised him for having it in his joint-session speech last night on job creation. A national economy needs plenty of it in order to expand. Consumers consider it one of the most pressing economic issues they face. Yet Obama’s speech was curiously absent of any mention of one word … energy. That’s right; you could look it up. There wasn’t one single mention in a speech about jobs and economic stimulation that addressed the need for the energy necessary to support it. Never mind that part of the problem in the economy comes from a blunted demand...

The foreign ministry is apparently aware of the disappearance but can do little, given the closed nature of stalinist North Korea. Van der Bijl runs a stamp shop in Utrecht and has visited North Korea on numerous occasions looking for postage stamps and propaganda artwork. His family have not heard from him for two weeks and are extremely worried.

History: President Salvador Allende of Chile really did commit suicide in 1973, an inquest concluded on Tuesday. Now will the Left stop saying the U.S. and Chile's army did him in? Except perhaps for Che Guevara, no one has quite been the heroic totem to the global left than the late Marxist president of Chile, whose death in 1973 made him a martyr to socialism. Allende seemingly legitimized socialism as a democratically elected leader, the first Marxist who in 1970 didn't shoot his way to power. That gave the left hope for more. Elected with just 36% of the vote in...

Sunday, May 15 is the 30th annual Peace Officers Memorial Service. Law enforcement from all over the country gathered in Washington for National Police Week to honor fallen comrades-in-arms. Too bad President Obama couldn’t be there. Despite being invited to speak to the widows, children and friends of the 165 officers recognized this year as killed in the line of duty, he somehow didn’t think it was important to trek the two miles from the White House to the Capitol Building to participate. Perhaps it’s because Mr. Obama historically has had a conflicted relationship with law enforcement.
