MODESTO — Scott Peterson, whose pregnant wife, Laci, has been missing since late December, tried to sell the couple's Modesto, Calif., home, sources close to the investigation into her disappearance said. Peterson allegedly looked into selling the home, saying he had issues with it and didn't want Laci coming back to it. BUBONIC PLAGUE SAMPLES MISSING The FBI is investigating the disappearance of 35 vials - some containing bubonic plague - that have gone missing from a laboratory in Texas. Officials stressed the missing bacteria could not be used as a weapon of mass destruction but that it could kill an individual.
