The brother and sister of missing Modesto woman Laci Peterson appeared on the "Today Show" Monday to talk about the continuing search and their feelings toward Laci's husband.
Brent Rocha and Amy Rocha (pictured, right) said that they continue to struggle for answers as to what happened to Laci.
"I think it has been a difficult process," Brent Rocha said. "We've taken it in phases. In the beginning, when she first went missing, I think friends and family just really focused on getting the word out. And then as time went by, I think that reality set in that the worst could have happened."
Laci Peterson was last seen Christmas Eve when Scott Peterson says he was fishing in Berkeley.
Scott Peterson (pictured, left) has not been named as a suspect in her disappearance; however, some family members feel he hasn't been as forthcoming as he could be about what happened to his wife.
Brent Rocha said that his relationship with Scott Peterson changed a few days after a phone call on Jan. 16, in which Scott confessed to having an extramarital affair.
"It wasn't because of the affair," Brent Rocha said. "I think the affair, what that did was lead us to ask other questions and pose questions to Scott. And when he was not able to answer those questions, and maybe he gave us different answers to those questions and contradicted himself, I think that's when we really started to question Scott's actions."
Family and friends spent much of this weekend organizing another search at the New Melones Reservoir in Calaveras County, but they had no luck.
No further searches have been planned.
