Clinton Library Builder's CFO Vanishes, Leaving Questions, No Clues LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- The stress of restructuring the construction company that built the Clinton Presidential Library gave John Glasgow every reason to run away. A seven-figure salary, a chance to buy part of a firm jointly owned by department-store chain Dillard's Inc. and a life lived in good spirits gave him every reason to stay. Glasgow has been missing since before sunup Jan. 28; his car was found abandoned the next day at a state park. Family and police say it's impossible to tell whether Glasgow killed himself, was...

Last night I was interviewed on BBC Radio 4's The World Tonight about the difference in the scale of media coverage following the disappearances of Madeleine McCann and Shannon Matthews. As so often with live broadcasts, the discussion was unsatisfying because it was too brief. However, I'm not quite certain whether I was on the right lines or not. First, the evidence, most of which was highlighted by an excellent Independent on Sunday article, Missing: The contrasting searches for Shannon and Madeleine. Coverage across all media, especially newspapers, has been noticeably less for nine-year-old Shannon than four-year-old Madeleine. Within two...

The Indiana State Police are looking for a 65-year-old former pastor they believe took thousands of dollars from his Topeka church. David Eugene Troyer of Fort Wayne was the pastor of Maple Grove Church in LaGrange County until last fall. But in October, church officials asked Troyer to step down after they discovered the silver-haired pastor misappropriated about $40,000 of church funds, police said. LaGrange County Prosecutor Jeff Wible charged Troyer with five counts of forgery, according to police. Authorities said Troyer would go to the church’s bookkeeper and ask for money to help someone in need, saying he already...

Where is accused terrorist Adam Gadahn? That’s what Taliban sources along the Afghan-Pakistan border are wondering about the American-born al-Qaida member. Gadahn, known as Azzam al-Ameriki (Azzam the American), joined al-Qaida in 2003 and has appeared in several bombastic al-Qaida videos since then. Federal prosecutors indicted the Californian for treason in October 2006, and he's now on the FBI's Most Wanted List. U.S. intelligence officials have heard the same rumors, but tell NBC News that they have no information to suggest Gadahn is dead. They specifically deny that Gadahn was killed in the same Predator missile attack that killed al-Qaida’s...

Immigration agents are trying to determine what happened to the Nepalese workers, among hundreds brought to the United States to work at a DVD factory operated by Cinram Inc., said Lauren Bethune, a spokeswoman for the Alabama Department of Homeland Security. "We do not in any way consider it a security threat, but we do think it is important," she said. A Huntsville...

Police said Sunday a positive DNA link has been established between the Jan. 20 abduction of a college student from a Reno home and a December sexual assault of another student who lived a few blocks away. At a late afternoon news conference, Reno police commander Ron Holladay said investigators think the same unidentified white male in his 30s is responsible for the earlier assault and last week's kidnapping of Brianna Denison, 19, from a friend's house near the University of Nevada, Reno campus. "Our chances of capturing the suspect are exponentially increased now because of the DNA," Holladay said....
