The US should wait until "Mooky" and his thugs arrive to release the prisoners and snag the bunch of them in one shot.

Exactly. Fox gave into Hamas’ blackmail when Steve Centanni was kidnapped a few years back. Kidnapping “insurance” is set up to do just that. It should be felonious when it involves any organization hostile to the U.S. or our interests.

Drop a big bomb on them all. J-Dam, Big Blue, whatever

They offered Mookie a date with Lara Logan.

Yes it should. No civilized country lets kidnappers get away with that when it happens on their own soil. It should be expanded via treaty to include kidnappers of any nationality that operate in any of the signatory countries (I’m assuming Iraq would become a signatory)

Al-Sadr's office in the city of Najaf issued a statement Thursday saying that any militiamen who engage in violence during the truce will no longer be part of the Mahdi Army.
[...]
Some members of al-Sadr's parliamentary bloc have urged the cleric not to extend the cease-fire because security forces, they say, are persecuting militia members. --from a
Feb 7 report Definitely some messages and gamesmanship going on. Maybe now, more FReepers will catch on that it could have been the US that asked CBS not to report the identities.

How do we know which ones are freed when CBS refused to identify them or if they were actually captured?

Sadr probably cut a deal with CBS, 2000 hours of pro-terrorist coverage and Couric is to become Sadr’s newest wife. Good luck Katie!

I’m not buying this whole heartwarming scenario. As far as I am concerned, CBS is a direct partner with the terrorists in the Middle East. CBS is doing all it can to get more of our soldiers killed. They will have to answer for this, if decent Americans care enough to call them out on their treason.
