A new Arizona State University study suggests that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts in the United States military are ineffective. The study done by the university's Center for American Institutions argued that there is a emphasis on training new soldiers about social issues like "unconscious bias" and "intersectionality" in a way the center says runs contrary to typical American ideals. The study examined DEI plan's in different sector of the military, including DEI office staffing and education at academies like West Point. "The massive DEI bureaucracy, its training and its pseudo-scientific assessments are at best distractions that absorb valuable time...

A new report said Pentagon programs to sniff out “white supremacists” in the U.S. military came up empty-handed and were even counterproductive to military readiness and morale.A zealous diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) bureaucracy has been established in the military and service academies, more recently “through mandated executive orders in the 2010s and 2020s,” the report, produced by the Arizona State University’s (ASU) Center for American Institutions, said. It also revealed that the efforts to “search for ‘violent extremists’ in the military,” have yielded rare and infrequent results. The report uncovered that the military’s “search for white supremacists – seemingly...

The nation lacks the processes and systems to conduct a military draft in response to a near-peer conflict, according to a new report by a think tank based in Washington, D.C. The United States ended conscription in 1973, relying since on the all-volunteer force. But all U.S. males ages 18 to 25 are still required to register with the Selective Service System in case a draft is ever needed again. "To be clear, this report is not advocating for implementation of a draft," states the Center for a New American Security report, which was released June 18. "Rather, it is...

The latest example of the politicization of the military under the Biden administration (and there are many) has been revealed by Stars and Stripes. It reports that the commander of the Osan Air Force base in South Korea has authorized troops on the base to wear a “pride morale patch” on their military uniforms, in public and while on duty.

American geologist Frank Kimbler ,passionate about ufology, has been searching with a metal detector since 2010 the area around the town of Roswell in New Mexico, famous for the fact that a strange object fell from the sky there in 1947. Officially, the US authorities stated that it was a secret military weather balloon that monitored nuclear weapons tests. However, most ufologists and ordinary people believe that an alien ship with a crew crashed there. That the wreckage of the ship was taken away by the military and subsequently carefully studied, and among the crew there were one or two...

The U.S. Defense Department is facing a lawsuit to turn over emails and documents about how the agency came to delete the phrase "Duty, Honor, Country" from the mission statement of the United States Military Academy at West Point. The conservative legal watchdog organization Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit against the Defense Department last week after the Military Academy failed to respond to its Freedom of Information Act request filed in March 2024. While the words "Duty, Honor, Country" remain the academy's motto, West Point Superintendent Lt. Gen. Steven Gilland said in March that following a year-and-a-half assessment, the mission...

Insignia and patches on a soldier’s uniform used to serve the purpose of telling you something about the military qualifications and experience of the soldier. Under the Biden administration, they can also signal whether a soldier ascribes to the Democrat party’s current political trends. The latest example of this is an Air Force commander’s approval of a “Pride Patch” for wear on military uniforms during “Pride Month.” A glance at a soldier’s uniform can tell you a lot about the person including their current assignment, the unit they served with in combat, their time in service and in overseas deployments...

I want to direct your attention to a Joe Cunningham essay in which he posits that the Chinese military is in trouble. He’s almost certainly right. The problem with communism is that it reduces societies to the lowest common denominator of any behavior and, as people scrabble for advancement in a controlled system, it invites corruption. Writing at Red State, Cunningham points out purges and problems regarding China’s military:The Chinese President is calling for “deep reflection” among his military forces as he renews his focus on corruption, which has plagued China in recent months. His call comes after what the...

Micha Shtiebel wasn’t expecting to be called back to duty so soon. Nor did he expect the army to deploy his brigade — normally stationed along the border with Lebanon — to Gaza, where they would experience a type of dense urban combat they weren’t used to. But in late May, the time had come to relieve another brigade fighting in Gaza and the army had reportedly neglected to line up a replacement. That blunder meant that Shtiebel’s Alexandroni Brigade, made up of thousands of reserve troops, didn’t have the months it normally gets to prepare for a new assignment....
