Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” while insisting to “keep it peaceful,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) called for more protests around the country as rioting is underway in Los Angeles tied to the Trump administration’s deportation effort. The Connecticut Democrat lawmaker argued President Donald Trump was inciting behavior so he could invoke the Insurrection Act. “I mean, my first message is to keep it peaceful,” Murphy declared. “I mean, obviously, this is a moment where we have to be on the streets all over the country to protest what’s happening to our immigrant community, but more broadly, to protest what’s happening...

VIDEOWillie Geist just barely worked in a mention of the victims of the terrorist attack in Colorado while the Morning Joe crew was wailing with concern for the family of the terrorist who tried to burn people alive. The best way to describe Geist's mention of the victims was reluctantly obligatory as if he knew he had to put in a word for the victims while the real thrust was deep, deep concern over the fate of the terrorist's family who were due to be deported. It really pained Willie to take THREE seconds to mention the victims during a...

Joe Scarborough is shocked by the outpouring of "sheer hatred, snarkiness and snideness" directed at Brian Williams. On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough drew a contrast between himself, who as an opinion person has to expect much criticism, and Williams, who he claimed reported the news in a "straight" way. But as Newsbusters and our parent MRC has carefully documented, Williams has been anything but a "straight" reporter of the news. Like so many of his MSM brethren, Williams had a distinctly liberal slant. View the video here.

Joe Scarborough's defense of Brian Williams amounts to a warning to people in the media and politics: I know a lot about many of you, too. On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough ominously said: "in over a decade in this news business, it is fair to say looking straight in the camera, I've seen a lot, I know a lot, and I know that there are very few people in this industry or in politics that could live by the standard of perfection. Cast the first stone? I would be careful." View the video here.

Friday, in a clip that aired on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said President Donald Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Big” was unacceptable in its current form, as passed by the House of Representatives. Johnson told a reporter on Capitol Hill, “I couldn’t care less if he’s upset. I’m concerned about my children, my grandchildren, and the fact that we are stealing from them. We are stealing from our children and grandchildren. $37 trillion in debt, and we’re going to add to it as Republicans? That is unacceptable.” He added, “And that’s why there’s no way I’m going to...

It's only taken Joe Scarborough 441 days to "handle the truth." As late as yesterday, in a conversation with Mark Halperin in his excellent "Next Up" series, an intransigent Scarborough was still defending the absurd claim he made on March 6, 2024: "F-you if you can't handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever.">/B> [snip] But finally, on today's Morning Joe, in a conversation with "Original Sin" co-authors Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, Scarborough finally admitted that in making his "best Biden ever" claim, "I was obviously wrong."Get the rest of the story and...

The blowhards at MSNBC’s Morning Joe should realize that continuing to shoot lies through their whitened tooth implants on the air about Elon Musk doesn’t make them any more true. What’s worse is that they don’t even attempt to be clever about it. Both hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were popping their brain corks over Musk’s March 10 interview with Fox Business host Larry Kudlow. Both just lied about the subject matter. Mika went first during the March 11 edition of Morning Joe, shamelessly claiming Musk “referred to the federal spending programs such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, as...

In a video aired today on Morning Joe, Caroline Kennedy, opposing her cousin RFK Jr.'s nomination as head of HHS, criticized him in the harshest terms, calling him unfit to serve. Among other things, Caroline branded RFK a "predator," and even accused him of responsibility for the death of relatives, whom, according to her, he enticed into drug abuse. Rough stuff. Caroline had the right to make her statement. But in praising her, Mika Brzezinski went over the top, getting choked up when she talked about how "painful" it was for Caroline to go public, she's a "very private person."...

Surprising candor from Mika Brzezinski this morning in comparing the Trump to the Biden pardons. An agitated Joe Scarborough kicked off the discussion on today's Morning Joe by insisting that things would not "end well" for Mike Johnson, Donald Trump, and the Republicans by downplaying the Trump pardons and focusing on Biden's pardons. [snip] That's when Mika delivered her surprising coup de grace: "As hard as it is to say, this is his right as president . . . Donald Trump kept his word and Joe Biden did not . . . It is his right, and he promised. And...

MSNBC contributor Donny Deutsch said Tuesday on “Morning Joe” that President Donald Trump “has co-opted America’s heartbeat.” Co-host Joe Scarborough said, “Democrats quietly reminding each other this was a 1.5% election and that Republicans have a one vote majority in the House and a three vote majority in the Senate.” Deutsch said, “I just want to add one thing to that, we can say that to ourselves, he has co-opted America’s heartbeat.” Co-host Mika Brzezinski said, “Well, if America’s heartbeat is to have hostage families standing behind him.” Deutsch said, “I’m not saying you might not like that. Listen to...

Morning Joe on Tuesday descended into bitter infighting over Donald Trump's pardoning of the January 6 rioters. Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski quickly turned on marketing expert Donny Deutsch for claiming non-MAGA Americans supported the dramatic move. Deutsch also argued the president's thumping election win in November meant he has 'co-opted America's heartbeat'. A furious Brzezinski rounded on him and the show quickly turned into a shouting match, with the married hosts insisting Trump is 'breaking one norm after another'. The couple had repeatedly slammed the president on air since he first ran for office in 2016, branding him a...

All that was missing was Joe Scarborough looking into the camera and saying—à la his recent claim that the current Biden was the best Biden ever and f-you if you didn't believe it—that Jimmy Carter was the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. Today's episode Morning Joe engaged in some world-class revisionism in praise of Carter. Incredibly, citing supposed Soviet views at the time, Scarborough credited Carter [and Mika's dad Zbigniew Brzezinski] more than Reagan, for the fall of the Soviet Union.Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

VIDEORage over plunging ratings. Rage over likely salary cuts. Rage over possible/probable cancellation. Watch as Morning Joe goes on a wild RAGE rant over his audience plunge due to crawling to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring of President Donald Trump after spending years of calling him a dictatorial Fascist monster. The looooong rant you see in this video was actually the tail end of an extensive rant over what David Frum said (smeared) the previous day on Morning Joe about Pete Hegseth that Mika subsequently apologized for. Later that day, Frum wrote an article about the incident in "The Atlantic" magazine...

Former GOP Congressman David Jolly said Friday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the media should not give President-elect Donald Trump “equity” by going to Mar-a-Lago like “Morning Joe“ hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski did. Jolly said, “What is really unsettling about it is coming off of the election, those who have tried to act responsibly, feel the pain of the loss. We didn’t wake up after the election and think, I’m upset because I was wrong. We’re upset because we know we’re right, but we’re on the losing side of this battle. And so what does that mean for a...

VIDEOA lot of people think that Morning Joe and Mika completely humiliated themselves by being forced to kiss Trump's ring at Mar-a-Lago. However, their humiliation was way way WORSE than you can even imagine. Here is Morning Joe explaining to us from the Humorverse, where all are forced to tell only the complete truth, what really happened after he and Mika crawled their way to Mar-a-Lago.

Monday on CNN’s “Newsnight,” network contributor Scott Jennings reacted to the meetings President-elect Donald Trump hosted with President Joe Biden and MSNBC personalities Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. Jennings noted the campaign rhetoric labeling Trump and his supporters “fascists” and even in some cases as “Hitler.” He argued such meetings did not suggest that Trump was Hitlerian. “I’m amazed,” Jennings said. “I did not expect Hitler to get so many meeting requests. First from Joe Biden, now from Mika and Joe. It’s amazing that literally, Hitler is getting all these meeting requests. And what it tells me, Professor, is that...

When last week Mika Brzezinski said that she and Joe Scarborough would like to have a face-to-face meeting with Trump, I wrote: "As for scoring an interview with Trump himself any time soon, don't bet the rent money at Polymarkets on it, Mika!" Oy, was I wrong! On today's Morning Joe, Mika announced that this past Friday, she and Joe did indeed meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. She described Trump as being "cheerful, upbeat, and interested in finding common ground with Democrats on some of the most divisive issues." Mika and Joe apparently suffer from an exaggerated sense of self-importance....

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough was visibly shocked when his wife and co-host Mika Brzezinski revealed how high the cost of butter has gotten in the last four years. “A few weeks ago… somebody who was going to be voting for Kamala Harris came up to me and said ‘oh my God, Trump’s going to win… I go to the grocery store butter is over $3” the former Florida congressman said. “I kinda laughed and I said well that’s kinda reductive isn’t it, I said it to myself,” Scarborough continued.

On today's Morning Joe, NBC reporter Peter Alexander described the mood at a Kamala donor party in DC last night as being like "a funeral."And Mika Brzezinski certainly dressed for the occasion today, draped, as you see, in all black.Claire McCaskill was near tears as she acknowledged that Trump understood the electorate better than Dems: that "fear and anger" work, and that our "better angels" have fled. Al Sharpton predictably blamed racial and gender,"bias" and "misogyny" among black and Hispanic men for Kamala's poor showing with them. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Shades of a football coach explaining away his team's loss by blaming the refs. Rather than focusing on Kamala Harris's evasive performance in her Fox News interview, today's Morning Joe trained its fire on Bret Baier. Mika led the hit parade, branding Bret's performance an "embarrassing, bad-faith effort by a once-respected host." She also claimed that Baier is "a man who spent his life as a down-the-middle journalist, seeming to throw it all away for his audience of one [i.e., Trump.]" Get the rest of the story and view the video here.
