A crowd of more than 100 people pelted Border Patrol agents with rocks and bottles as they tried to cross into the U.S. illegally, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The study looks at how restrictive immigration policies are affecting the lives of undocumented immigrants. The study comes from the Center for American Progress, a think-tank in Washington D.C. The center partnered with researchers at UCSD's Center of Comparative Immigration Studies, specifically looking at the lives of undocumented immigrants in Northern San Diego County.

OCEANSIDE – A man who allegedly pulled over and stabbed two people on a freeway during a road rage incident in Oceanside Sunday was struck and killed by a vehicle as he ran from the scene, authorities said. Esteban Herrera was pronounced dead at the scene on northbound Interstate 5, south of Mission Avenue, medical examiner Investigator Sal Rodriguez said.
