Psychiatrist Carole Lieberman, who holds a master’s degree in public health, hopes that Americans will learn from the draconian measures that the citizens of Shanghai, China, are being subjected to under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She warns that if Americans do not stand up for their freedoms, then authorities may take away more of our fundamental rights in the name of public health. “Yes, China is the ultimate nightmare,” Lieberman told the host of NTD’s Capitol Report, Steve Lance, in a recent interview. “I hope Americans realize that if we keep being sheep and following all the rules, like...
  • Asteroid Bennu keeps spinning faster and scientists aren't sure why

On a distant space rock being explored by a NASA probe, days are slowly shortening — and scientists are still trying to figure out why.Right now, the asteroid known as Bennu is spinning once every 4.3 hours. But scientists working on NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission to the space rock have used data gathered before the probe's arrival to calculate that Bennu's rotation rate is speeding up over time — by about 1 second each century."As it speeds up, things ought to change, and so we're going to be looking for those things and detecting this speed up gives us some clues...
  • VIDEO: Scoring Cheap Meatballs Via Coupons

VIDEO People ask me a lot about where I get all my coupons. Well, when I only need a couple of coupons, I usually just print them out. However, since the print limit is normally just two, when I need more I order them online such as from the Coupon Flea Market as I did in this case when I ordered 20 Celentano coupons for $1.50 per product. I applied these Celentano coupons to their frozen meatballs and in this video I demonstrate how I ended up getting 20 12-oz bags of them for just $1 each. Finally, you can...

That’s a pricey meatball. A Midtown restaurant will be serving up a swanky version of the Italian classic for a whopping $100, which includes just one meatball paired with a glass of wine, for one day only. On National Meatball Day, March 9, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse will offer an upgraded take on its Kobe beef meatballs that normally sell for just $13. The boosted ball will be made with wagyu beef and winter truffles and stuffed with truffle caciocavallo cheese and foie gras. It’s topped with a creamy shallot and champagne sauce. Odell Beckham Jr. shares Super Bowl meatball...

Anders Vendel, a famous chef, restaurant owner and TV star from Malmö, Sweden, was savagely beaten by three "Muslim" men because they thought he looked like "Mr. Trump", Sydsvenskan reports. In a Facebook post that was later removed, Mr. Vendel – who is a well-known anti-Racist figure and a star of the TV show "The Struggle of the Chefs"– described the brutal assault that took place early Saturday morning in a late-night fast food restaurant in Malmö. "I am in the emergency room as of a couple of hours ago awaiting X-rays. I was beaten up by three Muslim men...

Mark Levin gave a stern warning to both Donald Trump over his recent attacks on Ben Carson and Marco Rubio for trying to smear Ted Cruz on the Gang of 8 immigration bill, telling them both that their attacks are unacceptable to him. He told Trump that if he continued these reckless personal assaults on Carson, he’d have to affirmatively oppose him. He pretty much said the same to Rubio, pointing out that he simply can’t accept Rubio’s smear attacks on Ted Cruz and that it was his decision to support the Gang of 8 and he would have to...
  • In search of the BEST MEATBALL: What's your recipe for meatballs and marinara sauce?

    03/16/2015 12:04:27 PM PDT · by ken5050 · 88 replies
    one man's opinion...
Meatballs and spaghetti, with a simple marinara sauce, is one of life's greatest comfort foods. I consider myself a serious cook, and I've been making the dish for years, with a few tweaks along the way. Everyone loves it...never had a complaint. But for such a simple dish, there seems to be a near infinite number of variations and possibilities. Lots of FReepers are into food, so I thought I'd throw it open for discussion (and a brief respite from all things Hillary all the time)
  • VANITY: Christmas Cooking!

During my years of lurking, I always enjoyed the Thanksgiving Cooking thread; but I missed most of it this year. I've got a ? for the Freepers who like to cook and entertain: What do you take to an office party, where the only warm-up options are microwave and sterno-steam-tray? My crew favors my chicken and dumplings, which work out very well warmed up in a crock pot. But I've done it for years, and it's a little labor-intensive for me this year. I want to do something different, and my other best dishes are 'crusty' things - chicken pot...

Full title: FIRST THE GREEN GESTAPO CAME FOR OUR LIGHTBULBS, THEN OUR ICED DRINKS AND HOT SHOWERS. NOW THEY'RE AFTER OUR MEATBALLS... A truly emetic announcement from the grim but indispensable Swedish flatpack furniture emporium IKEA: they are considering changing the recipe of their most popular food line - meatballs - in order to help save the world from global warming. Says the company's head of sustainability Joanna Yarrow: "We have been working with WWF looking at meatballs and various other food items that we sell and looking at how we can tweak our recipes to give great taste but...

'Veg balls' to be launched as eco-friendly alternative to famous Swedish meatballs, which Ikea admits are damaging the planetIkea is developing a new 'green' version of its famous Swedish meatballs in order to cut carbon emissions and help tackle climate change, the retailer has revealed. The flat-pack furniture giant sells an estimated 150 million meatballs, made from beef and pork, in its cafes each year. But the popular snack is also the least environmentally-friendly item on the Ikea menu, because of high carbon dioxide emissions involved in the farming process and high methane gas emissions from cattle. Ikea is so...

"The next thing could be that Danish nurses are forced to go under cover as Muslim women in order to please Muslim patients." — Martin Henriksen, Spokesman, Danish People's Party [DF] One of the largest hospitals in Denmark has admitted to serving only halal beef -- meat that is slaughtered in accordance with strict Islamic guidelines -- to all of its patients regardless of whether or not they are Muslim. The revelation that Danes are being forced to eat Islamically slaughtered meat at public institutions has triggered a spirited nationwide debate about how far Denmark should go to accommodate the...

"Bon appetit" said Chilean artist Marco Evaristti as he presented his friends with his newest creation: meatballs cooked with fat from his own body, extracted by liposuction. "Ladies and gentleman, bon appetit and may god bless," said Evaristti, a glass in his hand, to his dining companions seated night around a table in Santiago's Animal Gallery tonight. On the plates in front of them was a serving of agnolotti pasta and in the middle a meatball made with oil Evaristti removed from his body in a liposuction procedure last year.

How do you cook meatballs? I googled some recipes that broil them. Also they fry them in sauce. But I thought if you fry them (boiled them?) in sauce, the meat gets done but not brown? Can you just fry them in a skillet with a little oil? Or will they not get done that way? thanx
