Trump’s win is a tragic loss for climate progress
MIT Technology Review ^ | 11/6/24 | James Temple

Donald Trump’s decisive victory is a stunning setback for the fight against climate change.

The Republican president-elect’s return to the White House means the US is going to squander precious momentum, unraveling hard-won policy progress that was just beginning to pay off, all for the second time in less than a decade.

It comes at a moment when the world can’t afford to waste time, with nations far off track from any emissions trajectories that would keep our ecosystems stable and our communities safe. Under the policies in place today, the planet is already set to warm by more than 3 °C over preindustrial levels in the coming decades.

Oh noes we are all doomed!

When I was growing up many moons ago, MIT was a respectable institution of learning.

Now MIT has fallen into the radical lib abyss.

I’m an MIT alum from the “old days”.

The climate jockeys at MIT do not represent the entire Institute!

Rush the bunnies and the comfort duck to the safe space.
And watch your step from all the tears pooling on the floors.

Hopefully a garbage truck full of those .gov “climate scientists” get sent to an Antarctic station for four years.

I look forward to hearing less and less from those scam artists.

Remember the Glacier National Park fiasco?

Scaring people into letting the government take more of their money is the theme here. Just say no to the government taking your money and giving it to other people.

Tragic loss for high 6 figure scientists who can no longer phone it in with the pre-determined results their masters insist on.

They told us decades ago we only have about 7 years left. They just keep moving the goal posts and hope no one notices.

Don’t tell me the climate is going to start changing again!

I was just getting used to how it was settling down.

MIT, losing its once proud reputation, crapping in their underwear.
Sad to see this. Well, actually,” tragic,” to be sure.
I’ll bet that Prof. Walter Lewin is fit to be tied. He was a Physics lecturer who entertained as well as educated. Using huge chalkboards, he illustrated the lectures in formulas. One of the most interesting lecture was about the physics of Rainbows........look it up.
Physics is wonderful!
DEI is living at MIT? What a pity.

There is one cool thing about a phony “crisis”—one less thing for President Trump to deal with in the real world.

If anybody in the WH starts talking about “climate change” or the “climate crisis” they need to be escorted from the WH premises and permanently banned.

The WH is where real work should be done.
