Country music superstar Reba McEntire used an interview to once again disavow an interest in politics and commit herself instead to entertaining her audiences before immediately saying she was “disappointed” in Tennessee anti-drag laws, adding “God bless ’em for wearing those heels” as a salute to transgender exponents. McEntire sat down with Mikael Wood from the Los Angeles Times for the exchange. Shaw Air Force Base is on a short list of military installations being considered to house the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter, officials announced Thursday. The list, approved by the secretary and chief of staff of the Air Force, identifies 11 Air Force bases and Air National Guard stations as "candidate bases." Three military bases in South Carolina are likely to become future homes for the F-35 fighter. The jet still is under development. But its manufacturer, Lockheed Martin, is building three versions that can be used by the Air Force, Marines and Navy. Every Wednesday evening in Columbia, SC a group of "peace activists" (traiterous cowards) protest US involvement in Iraq. They hold up signs that denegrate the efforts of our troops.
