All across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, people are lashing out at their former governor for his controversial pardons and commutations. Before leaving office, Matt Bevin issued more than 400 of them. Some, including the case of a convicted child rapist in Kenton County, have created a firestorm of anger. Discussions are underway among some lawmakers to determine if anything can be done about it.

Matt Bevin may have failed miserably at challenging Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2014, but he could become KentuckyÂ’s next governor this fall. Bevin won by a razor thin margin in the May 19 primary against Agriculture Commissioner James Comer. He now faces Kentucky Democratic Attorney General Jack Conway, who was handily beaten by Rand Paul in 2010 Senate race, in the general.
