After months of endorsing Republican candidates across the country, Sarah Palin has put her name behind a different group — UND’s hockey team. Former Alaska Gov. Palin autographed a Fighting Sioux hockey jersey that is now taking bids on popular auction website eBay. After being posted Thursday evening for $250, bidding on the jersey was already up to about $400 by Friday afternoon. But Adam Jones, the North Dakota Republican party executive director, said UND fans shouldn’t read too much into Palin’s autograph.

A day after talk radio host Laura Schlessinger quit her show, following criticism for using the N-word repeatedly in a broadcast, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin told her "don't retreat . . . reload!" Palin wrote in a post on Twitter that Schlessinger's First Amendment rights "ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silence" her. Such activism "isn't American, not fair," she added. Later she added, "Dr.Laura=even more powerful & effective w/out the shackles, so watch out Constitutional obstructionists."
