Some 200,000 mail carriers have reached a tentative contract deal with the U.S. Postal Service that includes backdated pay raises and a promise to provide workers with air-conditioned trucks. The new agreement, which still needs to be ratified by union members, runs through November 2026. Letter carriers have been working without a new contract since their old one expired in May 2023. Since then they have continued working under the terms of the old contract. Both the union and the Postal Service welcomed the agreement, which was announced Friday. ...

Grand Rapids, Michigan, has lost a tray of absentee ballots, City Clerk Joel Hondorp told The Federalist. The city is investigating but does not yet know where the ballots went. “Voters were calling, saying, ‘Hey, we didn’t receive our ballots,’” Hondorp said. “There’s a tray of ballots that were set to be mailed out. His office is working with the United States Postal Service to investigate at what point the tray...

The union’s Georgia president, whose name appears at the bottom of the letter, claims it was sent without his permission: ‘I had no idea they were sending out a letter with my name.’If former President Donald Trump wins November’s election, he would pose an “existential threat” — at least according to a letter apparently from the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), obtained by The Federalist.“If Donald Trump wins the upcoming election, it could prove an existential threat to our union and our contract,” the letter reads. “Your vote matters: consider how the consequences could affect you, your job, and...

New Brunswickers have to be 18 or older to undergo gender-affirming surgeryA Canada Post worker says she was suspended after refusing to deliver flyers that compare gender-affirming medical care to child mutilation. Shannon Aitchison said she is the mother of a transgender adult and given that gender-affirming surgery is only available to people aged 18 and above, believes the wording of the flyers is harmful and discriminatory against transgender people. Democrats are counting on greatly expanded, no excuse mail-in voting in swing states to win the 2024 presidential election. The most striking feature of the contentious 2020 election was the sudden explosion of mass mail-in voting in states that had little experience with it, and the unprecedented levels of election interference that occurred as left-leaning nonprofit organizations such as The Center for Tech and Civic Life (which was behind “Zuckbucks”) and Democrat “lawfare” experts tried to make the best of this chaotic, mail-in ballot free-for-all.The mail-in ballot election of 2020 created the template for the Democrats’ new “Blue Wall” election strategy,...

Police are actively investigating an attempted armed robbery of a postal worker that took place in Buckhead. A good Samaritan, Michael Humes, intervened and ended up in a shootout with the suspect, saving the postal worker’s life. It happened around 1 p.m. on Aug. 1, while the female postal worker was delivering mail in a garage behind businesses on Pharr Road. It’s still unclear whether the suspect specifically targeted her or was randomly looking for someone to rob. Humes was visiting a friend when he noticed something unusual on that hot day. “I seen a strange guy, ya know just...

The postcard, addressed to a woman in Swansea, Wales, has intrigued both staff and the public alike. Henry Darby, the company’s marketing and communications officer, shared his excitement about the unexpected find, describing it as both “exciting” and “a little bit spooky.” Most...

So, Microsoft has been threatening me all year that they're going to force everyone to use "Outlook" on their computers, getting rid of "Mail". I use Outlook on my computer for a 'side hustle' business, and do not want to intermingle my email accounts on one application - and "Mail" does everything I need for my Yahoo/Gmail/etc. accounts. I've tried looking online for some, but can't really find anything that fits the job like the simple, basic "Mail". So, reaching out to the technocrati here at FreeP to see what y'all use for e-mail on a Windows laptop?

Once you see the strings on the marionettes you can never watch the performance and not see them. The same thing happens when you know the details of how ballots are different than votes, and how the ballots are manipulated.U.S. elections are no longer about “votes,” modern elections in America are about “ballots”. As we have seen in several election cycles, the election winner is not the person who gets the most votes – the election winner is the person who collects, submits and ultimately counts the most ballots. The same is true for the presidential electoral victory; it’s the...

Records reveal that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has been sharing information from thousands of Americans’ letters and packages with law enforcement over the past decade. This practice, known as the “mail covers program,” involves conveying details from the outside of boxes and envelopes to federal agents and police officers without requiring a court order. Postal inspectors fulfill such requests primarily to aid in finding fugitives or investigating crimes. Notably, 97% of these requests were approved, covering days or weeks of mail sent to or from specific individuals or addresses.
