A man who was fatally shot by a friend as they both celebrated their 24th birthday on Monday warned the shooter the gun he was holding was cocked just before he pulled the trigger. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Aaron Patrick Moore and Fischer Hoisington had been drinking and playing video games together in the 500 block of East Stassney Lane around 1 a.m. before Moore pulled a handgun out of a drawer by his kitchen sink and an placed a bullet in the chamber.

A youth minister who owned a sawed-off shotgun that discharged and killed a teenager was charged with involuntary manslaughter and other counts. Keith Owens, 21, of Duquesne, was showing the weapon to a group of young people meeting at his home on Nov. 20, according to police.
