<p>HOMOSASSA -- A registered sex offender with an extensive criminal history confessed Friday to killing 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford, who went missing from her Florida home more than three weeks ago, officials said.</p>
<p>John Evander Couey admitted abducting and killing Jessica, who had disappeared from her home on Feb. 23, Citrus County Sheriff Jeff Dawsy said.</p>
