Nifong's Replacement Announced By Rebecca Hall (06/20/07 -- RALEIGH) - According to a release from Gov. Easley's office, Superior Court Judge Jim Hardin, at the request of the Governor, has agreed to fill the vacancy of Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong. Hardin will fill the position immediately, and is expected to be off the bench for about two months.
