  • Jerry Brown says not to worry. The high-speed boondoggle will be paid for by your carbon footprint

Assemblywoman Diane Harkey, a Republican from Dana Point, has a way with words. She calls her bill to repeal $9 billion in available state debt funding for what we call the Moonbeam Express the “High Speed Rail Lemon Law.” Moonbeam or lemon, it amounts to the same thing: a taxpayer-financed boondoggle California can neither afford to build nor make operate profitably...

I have a 2007 Malibu 4 cyl/Auto (bought new in late 2007) and have had it at dealers three times for a vibration that always occurs at 15 mph. This started at 2400 miles. The governor still has 503 bills that he needs to sign or veto before the Saturday midnight deadline. SB1655 authored by Sen. Jack Scott, D-Altadena, will give school principals the flexibility to reject a voluntary transfer of a teacher and change hiring deadlines so that promising new teachers can be hired...

45 minutes to go. If there is already a live debate thread go ahead and delete this. I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!
