I found Austin Hill’s July 26 commentary concerning the Internet chillingly interesting. I was especially struck by the irate statements of “How dare you say such horrible things about the president,” which were made repeatedly. This rancorous public reaction to personal expression is disturbingly typical of a growing and vindictive social trend. "Peace Mom" Cindy Sheehan is so angry that she wasn't allowed to disrupt last night's State of the Union address that intends to file a lawsuit claiming she was brutalized by Capitol Hill police who suppressed her first amendment freedoms.
