McGrady doesn’t view LeBron in the same category as Kobe or Kyrie. He didn’t rely on orchestrated plays or structured offensive sets. His game was built for the playground, for the rawest form of basketball. A man against another, with nothing between them but space and opportunity. It was an art form, and McGrady mastered it. A different kind of player For over a decade, T-Mac was among the paragon of one-on-one scorers. A two-time scoring champion, a seven-time All-Star, a Hall of Famer with a signature game that blended finesse and force. He thrived in isolation, where creativity dictated survival...

Count LeBron James among those who felt Suns owner Robert Sarver got off easy. The NBA suspended Sarver for a year and fined him $10 million after an investigation revealed that Sarver, allegedly repeating statements made by others, said the “N-word” at least five times. The 60-year-old Suns owner was also found to have made inappropriate comments about women and their physical appearances that were sex-related. Further, the report said that Sarver had inappropriate physical contact with men and was verbally abusive to employees. James expressed his displeasure with the ruling on Twitter on Wednesday. “Read through the Sarver stories...

Lakers star LeBron James has officially become the first active NBA player to obtain a net worth of $1 billion, according to Forbes. Legendary NBA superstar Michael Jordan has also reached the lofty billion-dollar mark, but he didn’t accomplish that feat until 2014, long after he retired from the league. Only $41 million worth of James’ considerable financial fortune comes from the Los Angeles Lakers team he plays for. The rest comes from shoe, movie, and clothing deals, the lion’s share of which is connected to Nike, which is among one of the dozens of international corporations linked to slave...

The Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James faced backlash online immediately after an incident unfolded during a game last night where James went and physically grabbed a referee and got two fans ejected from the game. When asked during a post-game press conference what the fans did that made him “uncomfortable,” James responded, “I mean nothing is uncomfortable for me, but there’s a difference between cheering on your home faithful, booing opponents and things of that nature or not wanting your opponents to be successful, and there’s then moments where it goes outside the line with obscene gestures and words that...

An Idaho police officer who became an internet sensation after mocking LeBron James for a tweet targeting an Ohio cop has been fired. The announcement comes via a statement posted by the mayor of Bellevue to Facebook on Thursday. “During the week of May 20th, while on shift Deputy Marshal [Nate] Silvester violated several clearly established City of Bellevue and State of Idaho Policing policies,” Mayor Ned Burns wrote. “After his previous policy violations Deputy Marshal Silvester was placed on probation and was on, what is called, a ‘last chance agreement’ with his superior officers.”

If there were a flopping safety word that would make all of this stop, everyone should be screaming it right now. Chris Paul is a much, much smaller human than LeBron James. There really is no scientific way in which Paul could have caused injury to James in this scenario. Yet, there is “The King,” writhing on the floor as his Laker teammates attempted to defend their leader’s “honor.” Outrage online caused “LeFlop” to begin trending. If there’s any consolation, the Lakers lost to the Suns 99-90. It’s probably safe to say that LeBron James has done more to expand...
