Freepers: A few of you have been asking what became of me after I retired from radio (850 KOA in Denver) to return to the GWOT. This is just a brief update and thank you for asking. Elton John - make that Sir Elton John - recently declared in a magazine interview that "religion should be banned completely." At least he didn't say it should be banned selectively; that might smack of favoritism and discrimination. It seems his animus toward religion is driven largely by his status as a homosexual. While visiting Iraq on assignment, KOA Denver reporter Steffan Tubbs was touched by the children forced to survive in such harsh conditions. After talking to several soldiers, he learned that soccer balls are "like gold" in Iraq and the soldiers asked Steffan to send over as many soccer balls as possible when he returned home.
