Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) blasted what she called a “circus” in the House on Wednesday, when Hunter Biden, the president’s son, made a surprise visit to a hearing of the Oversight and Accountability Committee. During an appearance on ABC’s “The View,” Cheney said she had “only seen clips” of the chaos that broke out in the hearing room just minutes before she went on the program, but she said elected representatives need to do a better job of respecting the congressional inquiry process. “These are not games,” Cheney said, before adding Hunter Biden “should be held accountable like anyone...

Sen. Joe Manchin took a jab at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s abilities as a lawmaker, describing her as “more active on Twitter than anything else,” amid their ongoing feud. Speaking to the New York Times, Manchin (D-WVa.) made the remarks while discussing his plans as a centrist in a divided government. Manchin specifically responded to AOC posting a photo to Twitter last month in which she could be seen staring daggers at the West Virginia senator as he looked away.

President Trump on Monday questioned the value of Anthony Fauci to the White House coronavirus task force, saying in an interview with Fox News that he "inherited" the government's top infectious disease expert. "I disagree with a lot of what he said," Trump told Laura Ingraham when asked if he would put Fauci "front and center" in the pandemic response if he could do it again. "I get along with him, but every once in a while, he'll come up with one that I say, 'Where did that come from?'" Trump continued. "I inherited him. He was here. He was...

Speaking at the 100th anniversary of a Washington, D.C. church, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright knocked President Barack Obama and accused America’s elite academic institutions of instilling racism. Wright opened up his sermon at the Florida Avenue Baptist Church Sunday by reading from the Book of Isaiah and speaking of the importance of foundational stones. Using that as a metaphor, Wright proceeded to list dozens of names that he suggested were foundational stones for the black community, from Nat Turner to Emmett Till to W.E.B Du Bois. He then seemingly took a shot at his former parishioner, President Obama. “They are...

Covering a possible 2012 presidential run by Michele Bachmann, Good Morning America's Juju Chang on Thursday spun the Congresswoman as "one of the most controversial freshmen [sic] members of Congress." Aside from the obvious error, Bachmann has been a representative for four years, GMA never identified hard-left former Congressman Alan Grayson that way. Reporter Jonathan Karl singled out Bachmann as "uncompromising" and "as conservative as they come." This type of labeling isn't uncommon for the journalist. On August 24, 2010, Karl hit Republican senatorial candidate Joe Miller as a "hard-line, Tea Party conservative." On September 22, 2010, he deemed Christine...

HENDERSON, Nev. - Hillary Rodham Clinton is accusing rival Barack Obama of proposing a $1 trillion tax increase with a plan to require high income earners to pay more Social Security taxes. Clinton outlines the charge, which she previously has made, in a mailing to voters ahead of Saturday's presidential caucus. Obama tried to describe his position at a campaign stop outside Las Vegas on Wednesday, saying the worst part about the mailer is that Clinton has said she would consider doing the same thing he wants to do. He said he thinks requiring high-income earners to pay more Social...

Answering her doorbell just after 10 p.m. Friday, Mary Jo Cooney looked through her peephole in San Francisco's Mission Terrace neighborhood and saw nothing. She didn't realize her late-night visitor was too short to see. It was 5-year-old Oscar Limon, spattered with his parents' blood and clutching a Nintendo video game, trying to find someone to help him and his younger sister. After Oscar rang a second doorbell on Badger Street, neighbors made a terrible discovery. In an extended-cab pickup truck parked around the corner on Still Street, the boy's father and mother had been shot dead.

PHOENIX (AP) - An initiative to dismantle Arizona's system for publicly funding state campaigns was knocked off the November ballot by the state Supreme Court. In a brief order Thursday, the justices upheld a lower court ruling that Proposition 106, the so-called "No Taxpayer Money for Politicians" initiative, violated the state constitution's ban on including more than one subject in a proposed constitutional amendment. In a July 1 lawsuit, opponents of the initiative had argued it violated the single-subject ban by both prohibiting public funding of candidates and by depriving the state agency overseeing the system of funding for its...
