I think I'm so educated And I'm so civilized 'Cause I'm a strict vegetarian But with the over population And inflation and starvation And the crazy politicians I don't feel safe in this world no more I don't want to die in a nuclear war I want to sail away to a distant shore And make like an apeman ________________________________________________ It like a lot of things never change...

Torture. Physical violence. Abusive sex. Live ActionÂ’s latest undercover investigation unravels Planned ParenthoodÂ’s startling sexology. Live ActionÂ’s new investigative video reveals how far the abortion-giant will go to promote questionable practices to teens, and how the organizationÂ’s rationale essentially condones any sexual activity among partners. Teenagers are not only encouraged to experiment with a slew of sexual practices, they are coached by Planned Parenthood staffers how to view pornography, obtain adult sex toys, and even defecate on each other for sexual pleasure. The organizationÂ’s sexual ideology caters dangerous and violent Fifty Shades of Grey-type BDSM relationships to youths as acceptable,...

...You Really Got Me delivered something very different. It is taut but increasingly hysterical, hard driven and explosive, an out-and-out rocker. It is more riff than song. And what a riff. It consists of just two power chords, three strings of the guitar, sliding up and down over two frets, striking five times in three beats of the bar then restarting after the fourth beat. It has a feeling of being chopped off in its prime and constantly restarted, spluttering like a motorbike getting ready to race, a jerky, stop-start quality that creates an incredible sense of urgency. It was...

Saturday is Ray Davies' 70th birthday, but I'm not writing this as an offering or a note of congratulations.. Having bought 53 pieces of vinyl or CD plastic by the Kinks, both of his books, his two solo albums of new songs and 30-odd concert tickets, I think I've already thanked and celebrated him in the way he can most appreciate. I hope what I’ve paid him has given him a fraction of the enjoyment I’ve had in return.

Volatile Kinks British group mourned the failure to preserve a lost England | Arsenio Orteza CPB/UPPA/Zuma Press/Newscom In the 24 years since Bob Dylan's Biograph kicked off the boxed-set craze, every pop act of any significance has been enshrined in what has become the audio equivalent of the coffee-table book—every act, that is, except the Kinks. Enter Picture Book (Sanctuary), a chronological, six-disc overview of the group's 30-year career, which was released in December, nearly 19 years after the original lineup's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and 12 years after the final lineup's breakup. [Away from the partying it was obvious to a dedicated follower of the city that disaster was around the corner] I SPENT the early part of last year in New Orleans recovering from gunshot wounds received as I was being robbed. It happened in the early evening as I walked down a quiet street with my girlfriend. There was a football game in town and the streets near the French Quarter were empty. The police presence was elsewhere. The incident itself was over in a flash but it plays over and over in my head and perhaps one day it...
