(WXYZ) Detroit businessman Dave Bing is ending the speculation, and officially throwing his hat into the ring as a candidate for mayor of the city of Detroit. The Detroit Free Press says Bing confirmed his run in an exclusive interview Thursday night. At least a half dozen other people, including Interim Mayor Ken Cockrel, Jr., have also said they will run in the February 24 special primary.
