Hillary Clinton bundler pleads guilty to illegal contributions By JOSH GERSTEIN | 4/17/14 5:03 PM EDT A prominent New York hotel magnate who was a top bundler for then-Sen. Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign pled guilty in federal court Thursday to making more than $180,000 in illegal campaign contributions and to witness tampering. Sant Chatwal, 70, admitted using employees and vendors for his hotels as straw donors to avoid limits dictated by campaign finance law. Charlie Crist confirms Meek/Clinton talks: Meek schedules press conference tonight Charlie Crist said on MSNBC that he doesn't expect Kendrick Meek to drop out of the three-way U.S. Senate race: "I think that all three of us will be on the ballot.'' But he said he knew about the Clinton conversations. "How would I know?," he said, answering a question host Keith Olbermann said had been asked by the Meek campaign. "Because I had numerous phone calls with people very close to President Clinton. It's true.'' http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/the-buzz-florida-politics/content/charlie-crist-confirms-meekclinton-talks-meek-schedules-press-conference-tonight

The bloodletting in Palm Beach is under way. Earlier today, Palm Beach County Commissioners Burt Aaronson and Shelley Vana endorsed Gov. Charlie Crist for Senate, backing him over Democratic Congressman Kendrick Meek. Then Vana went even further, asking Meek, who is mired in third place behind Crist and frontrunner Marco Rubio, to get out of the race. “I respectfully ask Congressman Meek — whom I love — to take one for the team,” Vana told the Palm Beach Post. “While we love Kendrick, at some point Kendrick has to know there’s a greater good here.” Crist, who yesterday got the...

For most of the past two years, President Barack Obama and his congressional cronies have called the GOP the party of no. They of course meant it as an insult and hoped saying it over and over (and over) would gain them political traction. But they weren't listening to the majority of the American people who wanted Republicans to put up as strong an opposition to the Obama agenda as their minority status allowed. The voters didn't just want Republicans to be the party of no; they wanted them to be the party of absolutely not.
