Drug-induced castration should be among the punishments for sex offenders who victimize children, a state legislator said Thursday. Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Delano, proposed allowing judges to require pedophiles to take sex-drive-suppressing drugs as part of their sentences in cases where the crime was extremely cruel, the victim was physically injured or the perpetrator had previous offenses.
