I have received an email from Binyamin L. Jolkovsky, Editor in Chief of Jewish World Review. He's requesting prayers for Yisroel ben Chana Tzirel, a rabbinic mentor of his. This is someone who has been more like a father to him, and is considered to be among the most prominent Orthodox rabbis in America. He was rushed to the hospital this morning and had emergency surgery. In the words of Mr. Jolkowsky, every prayer is precious to the Almighty. The power of prayer is often spoken of. But those of us who truly believe in it, act on it. Thanks!

Fox News ought to buy a copy of Monday's Democrat debate on CNN to play over and over during the general election campaign. For now, the Democratic candidates need to appeal only to their nut-base. So on Monday night, the candidates casually spouted liberal conspiracy theories that would frighten normal Americans, but are guaranteed to warm the hearts of losers blogging from their mother's basements.

JWR is a one-man show and that one man, Binyamin L. Jolkovsky, is ill -- in part from the strain of running this wonderful site by himself. He is asking those of us that have been (gulp) reading his site without contributing to please contribute what we can in order to keep the site alive. WASHINGTON, June 1 (UPI) -- Binyamin Jolkovsky is a man with a mission. For five years the 33-year-old has produced his high-quality conservative Web site, Jewish World Review, from a Brooklyn attic on a wing, a prayer and three or four hours' sleep a night. Will he be able to make it financially viable before his health gives out? Jolkovsky's wife, a systems analyst in Manhattan, has given him a deadline to pay himself a salary. Maybe some day he can even hire an assistant. Testimonials to Jolkovsky's editorial skills come from far and wide, but fundraising is another matter....

I've tried for the last two days to look at JWR, and the articles and stuff haven't changed. Even "Mallard Filmore" hasn't had new strips for the last two days. Does anyone know what's going on?Regards,
