More than 1,000 diehard fans of rap group Insane Clown Posse gathered in Washington DC on Saturday to protest the FBI’s classification of them as a gang. Nearby, on the National Mall, about 500 Trump supporters assembled for a separate all-day demonstration and concert, though organizers predicted that number would grow as the day progressed. Tweeted one smart alec: “#JuggaloMarch and Trump supporters both marching. One is a group of people who worship an insane clown, the other is a group of Juggalos.”

It seems that many states, my home state of New Jersey included, are hell-bent on legalizing recreational use of cannabis. The arguments in favor of this, though loud and dominant in the media, are not particularly convincing. Most of the advocates tout the desire to legalize the drug so that the state can raise additional tax revenue off of the sales. Enhancing the ability of an over-bearing confiscatory high-tax state like New Jersey to extract even more revenue from its citizens is never going to be a compelling argument for me. The IRS wants to know more about the income of one half of hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse. In a court filing, the government asked a judge Wednesday to enforce a summons against Joseph Utsler, better known by his stage name, Shaggy 2 Dope. Utsler's partner in Insane Clown Posse is Joseph Bruce, known as Violent J. Separately, they have been challenging the U.S. Justice Department over a 2011 report that described their fans, the Juggalos, as a "hybrid gang."

CARTERVILLE, Ill. – A sheriff says reality TV actress Tila Tequila complained that audience members pelted her with stones and feces during an outdoor music festival in southern Illinois. Hardin County Sheriff Tom Seiner told a Carterville TV station it happened early Saturday at the Gathering of the Juggalos. That's a weekend festival based around the band Insane Clown Posse and other groups from Psychopathic Records.
