Elisabeth Elliot, widow of martyred Jim Elliot and author of Through the Gates of Splendor, has died, according to the Gospel Coalition. Born in 1926 to missionaries in Belgium, Elliot spent her life pursuing God into the deepest and darkest of jungles. I try to see as many little movies as I can, because you never know when you’ll make a discovery. Usually, I feel like I’ve wasted my time but whenever I find a unique film, it enriches my life. End of the Spear is one of those films.

There is a movie opening nation-wide this Friday (Jan. 20) called "End of the Spear." It is a Christian-oriented film that deals with missionaries who were martyred in the rainforest of Ecuador many years ago. We need to have a big opening weekend.
