METAIRIE -- The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office identified one of the men responsible for stealing more than hundred guns from a sporting goods shop on New Year’s Day. Deputies said Saturday they wanted the public’s help in locating the suspect, 28-year-old Jermaine Surtain, who’s wanted on burglary charges. According to authorities, Surtain and possibly three other suspects broke into Puglia's Sporting Goods store on Veterans Boulevard and stole 115 assorted make, model and caliber handguns, along with four shotguns and two assault rifles.
