Yunis Mahmoud scored twice in three minutes midway through the second half as Iraq beat Palestine 3-0 on Thursday to move atop its Asian Cup qualifying group. The victory gave Iraq six points and moved it past China ahead of Group E on goal difference. Mahmoud gave Iraq a 2-0 lead with goals in the 58th and 61st minutes, and Hawar Mullah Mohammed added the insurance in the 89th.
