The U.S. flew Air Force B-1 bombers near Venezuela on Thursday, stepping up pressure on President Nicolás Maduro only days after other American warplanes carried out an “attack demonstration” near the South American country.
Two B-1 Lancers took off from Dyess Air Force Base in Texas on Thursday and flew near Venezuela, though they remained in international airspace, according to a U.S. official and flight tracking data.
The B-1 can fly at supersonic speeds and carry 75,000 lbs. of bombs, more than other U.S. bombers. They can also conduct maritime surveillance. The aircraft haven’t been moved to bases in the region, as they have the range to reach anywhere in the Caribbean from the U.S., according to a defense official.

Rand Paul is saddened.

Work commences on Version 4, the Venezuela subroutine.
Venezuela commie hoes mad.
Monroe Doctrine time.
You’re still getting deported back to India, Jugdish. Pack your bags.
Maduro should honor the outcome of the last election ...
Giving Maduro the BONE!
--- "....they remained in international airspace...."
And according to Happy in another thread, "--- They just made a practice bombing run on Venezuela an hour ago. Lol!"
Now all we have to do is wait for a day or two to learn whether the WSJ is going to identify the "two defense officials," given Secretary Hegseth's actions to curtail leaks. Or whether Happy's "practice bombing run" turns out to be "they remained in international airspace...."
It is sure continuing discussion on this thread will include "hoes" or other clever ripostes. Perhaps an "lol" or two. Maybe even an oversize graphic.
One-liners are easier to write into program subroutines.

This is a psywar camapaign by the Trump admin against Maduro’s regime. The “leaks” are part of the op. ROFLMAO.
The transponders were on for both bombers when they made their practice run.

Paul is damn disgrace, a mental midget who should do the country a favor and retire before he does any more damage.
😂😂😂🤣
I saw another item (not on FR...I think Facebook) that said the US had also sent B-52’s from Barksdale AFB. So apparently B1’s AND B52’s participated in the show of force...
The BoB can carry 75,000 lbs internally and has originally 8 external pylon points with 8,000lb dual ALCM for 68,000lbs more.externally. Those were taken off during START treaty but we withdrew from both the treaty and the nuclear role for the B1B it has 6 of the 8 points back now with standard 30 inchw lugs it can carry pretty much any weapon in the US inventory externally, for Maritime the obvious.choices are 2000#,1000#,500# Quicksinks, Harpoons for that old skool cool vibe. If you want to get spendy and love the MIC then the LRASM is your guy. Boeing will add a turbojet to the JDAM and JADM based Quicksink/Quickstrike ER making it a XR and 300 miles stand off range. A single BoB brings a world of hurt with it one is capable of sinking a small nation’s entire navy in a single sortie. Every one of the blue bombs in this image is a MK series munition that takes the JDAM kit so every one is also a Quicksink or a Quickstrike naval mine. That’s just internal loadout add 12x 2000# or six six packs of 1000# each pylon point can hold a standard 3x3 inline rack with air to air refueling the extra drag is irrelevant.
Get some :) also notice how many B83s this was designed to carry each one is a city killer aka as my dad who used to assemble them called them crowd pleasers. This is what scared the crap out of the USSR and the very first thing they demanded in the arms treaty was take the pylons off and limit the number of B1Bs the second arms talks they demanded they be removed from the perpetrator role. Love it it’s a penetrater bomber.
