<p>November 17, 2003 -- U.S. forces got tough with Iraqi insurgents yesterday, carrying out operations in Baghdad and firing a satellite-guided missile with a 500-pound warhead at a guerrilla training base in central Iraq. Lt. Col. Bill MacDonald, a spokesman for the 4th Infantry Division, said it was the first time that a satellite-guided missile was utilized since major combat ended on May 1. At least 160 GIs have been killed since then.</p>

<p>November 15, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - A U.S. helicopter crew wiped out a pro-Saddam artillery team that was about to launch a massive missile attack on an American base yesterday as GIs continued their blistering counter-offensive in Iraq. The AH-64 Apache helicopter attack in Saddam Hussein's hometown Tikrit killed seven terrorist fighters and led to the discovery of a huge stockpile of 900 missiles in nearby bunkers, the military said.</p>

<p>November 8, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - U.S. forces last night pounded the hideouts of Iraqi terrorists in Tikrit after an Army Black Hawk helicopter was downed with a rocket-propelled grenade, killing the six Americans on board. American troops, backed by Bradley fighting vehicles, swept through the neighborhoods of Saddam Hussein's hometown in the early-morning hours blasting the houses of his thugs with machine guns and heavy weapons.</p>
