Imaginary Tyranny: As POTUS Donald Trump soldiers on in his quest to Make America Great Again, the unhinged Left continues to see things that normal, rational people aren’t seeing. Like tyranny and oppression. Like the destruction of the Constitution. Like officially-sanctioned racism, as if Trump were handing down edicts from the Oval Office instructing his federal bureaucracy to return America to the 1850s. It’s madness to even think POTUS is a bigoted, racist tyrant-in-the-making, let alone that he even wants to be. But that’s the state of the Left as Trump Derangement Syndrome courses through their veins like a virus....

This week marks Andrea Mitchell’s 40th anniversary at NBC News, and the network has been filled with tributes to her. But when it comes to gushing, it will be hard to top Willie Geist’s effort, which aired during Mitchell’s MSNBC show today: “You are one of a very small handful of icons in our business, about whom a young journalist thinks: I can’t even believe I work in the same news division where she works. It always has been a privilege, and that awe has never gone away.” The tribute ended with a still shot of Mitchell warmly holding hands...

On Tuesday’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, two Florida politicians, a Republican and a Democrat, made back-to-back appearances to discuss gun control. Host Andrea Mitchell took a radically different tone with each interviewee – both of whom are seeking statewide elected office in 2018 – thus epitomizing MSNBC’s inescapable liberal bias. While speaking with Republican Florida State Representative Jay Fant, Mitchell assumed an adversarial role, grilling him on his recent vote against a measure to ban assault rifles. Throughout the brief interview, she argued that the Second Amendment was not absolute, citing the late Justice Scalia’s decision in the frequently-referenced District of...

MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell fretted Friday that the FBI's acknowledged error in not following up on a credible trip on Nikolas Cruz might serve as fodder for critics of the Russia investigation. In a statement, the FBI said Friday that "protocols were not followed" after someone contacted the bureau's Public Access Line on Jan. 5 with concerns about Cruz, who authorities say confessed to carrying out the Florida school shooting this week. The individual provided information in January about Cruz's desire to kill people, erratic behavior, disturbing social media posts, and potential to carry out a school shooting. The FBI...

Yesterday, we noted the left’s freak-out over the news that the Justice Department will be investigating race-based discrimination in college and university admissions. The freak-out was on full display on Andrea Mitchell’s MSNBC show yesterday. You knew the fix was in from Mitchell’s choice as guests of two critics of the initiative: the Washington Post‘s Jonathan Capehart, and Janai Nelson of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. The most outrageous moments came when Mitchell said: “I don’t know if there are cases, even” of white students being disadvantaged by minority students taking available slots. View the video here.

On her 12 p.m. ET hour show on Wednesday, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell was worried that the clear Democratic affiliation and left-wing activism of the shooter who attacked members of Congress was going to be “swept up” in coverage of the violence and exploited by “partisans.” She acknowledged that alleged shooter James T. Hodgkinson “was a volunteer in [Bernie] Sanders’ campaign” and that “within his mental condition, there was, at least he felt, some sort of political motivation, as horrible as that is to even address.” Correspondent Garrett Haake – reporting from the scene of the attack in Alexandria, Virginia...

After the network evening newscasts downplayed or ignored the father of freed North Korea hostage Otto Warmbier criticizing the Obama administration’s failure to bring his severely injured son home, on Friday’s NBC Today, correspondent Andrea Mitchell actually devoted a full report to the topic. However, her focus was on parroting excuses from former Obama officials. Mitchell began the segment at the top of the morning show’s 8 a.m. ET hour by lamenting: “The tragic return of college student Otto Warmbier, now released from North Korea, but in an unexplained comatose state, is now becoming a political issue...†The headline on...

MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell said Tuesday that President Donald Trump's first foreign trip since taking office was being received "very, very well" in the Middle East. "It's actually being received very, very well in this region," Mitchell said on "Morning Joe." "I have to tell you that his scripted speeches, the speech he just gave at the museum, the cultural museum, was very well received in Israeli media, as well as among the people obviously there, the invited guests," Mitchell said. "But he hit all of the notes." Mitchell then spoke of Trump's ties with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before...
