Can anyone give advice on finding music for downloading? I'm getting to the point of finishing copying my CDs on to a memory stick, so I'd like to move on to finding songs via the 'net that I can just download and copy.

The Economics of panhandling The first thing you'll need to do is forget all the bad imagery you have about panhandling. Begging has been around all through history. And will continue to exist, DESPITE do gooder attempts to help those poor unfortunates. Most of whom are not poor or unfortunate. And really don't need or want the help. The basic panhandler is standing on the street. Sometimes with a sign, sometimes not. The basic plea will be that the mark, or citizen is asked to part with his or her unneeded cash. This could be coin or bill, it doesn't...

In 1990, when liberal journalists still had some sense of obligation to the truth, Michael Kelly wrote the following for GQ: As [Carla] Gaviglio enters the room, the six-foot-two, 225-plus-pound [Sen. Ted] Kennedy grabs the five-foot-three, 103-pound waitress and throws her on the table. She lands on her back, scattering crystal, plates and cutlery and the lit candles. Several glasses and a crystal candlestick are broken. Kennedy then picks her up from the table and throws her on [Sen. Chris] Dodd, who is sprawled in a chair. With Gaviglio on Dodd's lap, Kennedy jumps on top and begins rubbing his...

That title isn’t joking. This post is aimed at my liberal readers. I’m a libertarian leaning Republican and gun expert, who thinks you are wrong about a lot of stuff, but I’m not writing this to gloat about your loss. For the record, I disliked all the presidential candidates. Judging by your social media over the last few days many liberals have been utterly terrified that your government might turn tyrannical or that evil people will now be emboldened to hurt you. I’m going to let you in on a little thing the other half of the country is familiar...

I’ve always tried to be brutally honest with y’all when it come to money in this space because: 1 – It helps you trust the content I create here 2 – Being transparent is more comfortable for me than being vague 3 – Too many people in this space have wild misconceptions about how much money is or is not being made here, which leads to gossip and bitterness that’s a complete waste of time Since I first mentioned last year that I was writing a book and then more so when it was published, people have been curious about...

Ron Smith never could sleep on an airplane. So he used that travel time to write a book instead. It only took seven round trips between Texas and Alaska to write 15 chapters. The result: "How Not To Die Hunting In Alaska." While that may elicit a chuckle or two, Smith has written true stories from personal experience, and there is something to be learned from experiences he shares. "Anybody who has hunted in Alaska has stories to tell," said the longtime Alaskan, who now divides his time between Alaska and Texas. He is an professor emeritus of biology at...

Question for you all, since you're always knowledgeable about these things. I want to put a ceiling fan in a room. The room is on one of the ends or "wings" of the house, has an HVAC "out" register in the near-middle of the ceiling, and is always always always scorching hot or freezing cold. I know this is caused by a lack of cross ventilation where the cold/hot air would be exchanged for hot/cold. The attic goes across the top of the main part of the house, then sort of squishes down to a lower roof where you can't...

As some of you may remember (but probably don't), I had to move two years ago. This is the first new house I've ever lived in, and it has those fancy super-vulnerable indoor walls (the kind you can't drive a nail into). Yesterday I was attempting to hang a picture. Unfortunately the picture was too heavy for the hook and it pulled it off the wall and dropped to the floor. I instinctively flung out my arms and found later that I had inadventently brushed against the wall with an arm that was coated with salve (for a psoriasis). The...

The future of CNN, never exactly bright the past couple of years, suddenly looked dire this week when ratings came out showing a 40 percent decline in prime time viewers since 2009. Jon Klein, the network president, has consistently defended the network’s down-the-middle news strategy despite the increasingly large ratings leads opened up by MSNBC and particularly Fox, .. So is it time for a radical re-thinking of “the most trusted name in news,” the network of Larry King, Anderson Cooper, Campbell Brown and Wolf Blitzer? We asked a dozen or so prominent media watchers, former industry executives and CNN...

This is an easy tool to use to create your own Tea Party Poster. I hope you make good use of it since with the out of control insanity in spending of the resident one might think he is still doing crack. Just a thought our government loves to make laws but it seems when it comes to the legislators following them as individuals one could reasonably assume many think themselves above the very laws they create. When is the last time or have you ever heard of a Congressman/Congresswoman, Representative or the President taking a drug test to qualify...
